Introducing Ben, one of the friendly voices behind the phone and front counter at Newcastle Car & Truck Rental. With 5 years of experience in the vehicle rental industry, Ben plays a key role in helping customers find the right rental — from cars and utes to trucks and buses — for every occasion.

Ben’s daily responsibilities include answering calls, handling bookings, and making sure customers feel confident and well-supported. Whether it’s a local move or a business hire, he takes pride in matching people with the right vehicle for the job.

“What do I love most? The people — all of them,” Ben shares.

A proud moment in his role has been supporting community groups and charities like The Big Trekk, which raises vital funds for the Mark Hughes Foundation.

Outside the office, Ben enjoys gaming, travelling, and connecting with new people, bringing the same energy and enthusiasm to every interaction.

Meet Andy, a familiar and friendly face at Newcastle Car & Truck Rental with nearly two decades of experience helping customers find the right rental for the job. As our Customer Experience Officer, Andrew handles everything from booking reservations and taking calls to assisting renters in choosing the perfect car, ute, van, truck, or bus for their needs.

Andrew has spent 18 years in the rental industry and continues to thrive on the variety and people-focused nature of his role. Whether you’re relocating, heading to a worksite, or planning an event, he’s there to ensure you get on the road with confidence.

What makes it all worthwhile? “The team is fantastic, and no two days are ever the same,” says Andrew. He even had a brush with fame when serving former Newcastle Knights player and Man Shake founder Adam MacDougall, just one of the many memorable moments from his career.

Outside of work, Andrew enjoys fixing small appliances, riding motorbikes, and caring for his beloved cats.

Meet Jordon, a key member of our fleet team at Newcastle Car & Truck Rental. As a Vehicle Detailer, Jordon ensures every car, ute, van, or truck in our fleet is cleaned, inspected, and ready for hire, contributing directly to the customer experience we pride ourselves on.

With nearly two years in the role, Jordon’s work covers the full lifecycle of each vehicle: from preparation and handover to return inspection and detailing. Whether it’s moving gear around the yard or firing up our brand-new wash bay equipment, he brings care, precision, and pride to every shift.

“What I love most is the environment, the team, and seeing customers drive away happy.”

When he’s not detailing vehicles, Jordon enjoys BBQing and smoking meats, gaming, and spending time with family and friends, bringing that same sense of focus and fun to his work.
