Some of our vehicles can be used for towing, but you must get approval from us first. Please contact us and let us know what you plan to tow – we’ll let you know if it’s allowed.

If you exceed the daily kilometre limit included in your rental, you’ll be charged for each extra kilometre you travel. The cost depends on the type of vehicle:
25 Seat Buses and 6 Tonne Trucks: 48 cents per km
Cars, Utes, Vans, 4WDs, SUVs, People Movers: 38 cents per km
3 Tonne Pantechs: 38 cents per km
Note: Pantechs with a 50 km limit are charged at 68 cents per km
Yes, our Argenton (Glendale) branch is 1.4 Klms, 19 mins walk from the Cockle Creek Station and our Maitland branch is 180mtrs, 3mins walk from Telarah Station.
Yes. It is your responsibility to pay all road/traffic and/or parking infringements whilst you are using our vehicle. All infringement Notice’s for traffic or parking fines that we process on your behalf will attract a $30 administration fee per infringement regardless of the reason or fault.
Automatic Toll Road cover applies to every hire – you cannot opt-out. You are automatically charged the cost of the toll plus a service fee of $3.00 for each and every toll incurred.
Our vehicles are all locally owned, serviced every 10,000 km by our own A-grade mechanics, and meticulously checked before each hire. Even so, should you ever be inconvenienced by an unexpected issue, we sincerely apologise.
After-hours support Staff are not contactable after hours, however all our vehicles are covered by NRMA Roadside Assistance, 24/7, Australia-wide. If your vehicle breaks down, NRMA will attempt to repair it on the spot. If that’s not possible, a tow will be arranged to the nearest NRMA repairer.
Transport arrangements You will be transported with the vehicle where possible. If not, alternate transport to the nearest facilities will be arranged if available at your location, however we cannot guarantee either option.
Travelling outside Newcastle If you travel outside the Newcastle area or into a regional or isolated area, you accept that you will be beyond our reach and subject to the available resources at your location. A replacement vehicle is subject to availability and cannot be provided if you have travelled outside of Newcastle. In this case, you would need to wait for repairs to be completed or make your own arrangements to continue your journey.
Your responsibility The cost of any consumables or services not related to vehicle failure are at your own expense. This includes running out of fuel, a flat battery caused by lights being left on, keys locked in or lost from the vehicle, or the vehicle becoming bogged.
We employ the services of the team of experienced fully qualified A-Grade mechanics at GSR Autotek Fleet Servicing who regularly service our vehicles every 10,000 klms. We also check the vehicle before each hire.
